Our property has large open field areas suitable for locating observatory structures. Electricity grid connection and available 4G LTE Internet options provide the necessary building blocks for your personal dark sky observatory.
Darkness
Dark sky sites are always a compromise between accessibility, darkness and availability of services such as data and electricity. We believe Astro Observatories Western Australia has hit the right balance on these with this site upon which you can build your observatory. The site has magnificent dark skies with only slight light pollution visible low on the western horizon from Perth.
Location
Located in the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia approximately 150km from Perth the site is easily accessible via a pleasant drive on highways and easy to drive country roads. The site is as far from regional towns as possible to avoid light pollution but still only 20 minutes drive from services including petrol, supermarket, hardware and pub dinners.
